On arrival after Meeting and greeting with our team at Mcleodganj we will start the hike from McLeod Ganj to Triund passing by a small semi-nomadic village inhabited by Gaddi Shepherds. The trail to Triund passes through the mixed forests of deodar, Rhododendron and Oak trees. Triund is situated on a ridge from where we have breathtaking views of the Dhauladhar Mountain Range to the north and Kangra Valley to the south. Overnight Camping and Dinner at Triund.
It is an easy day to get acclimatized to the altitude. After Breakfast we hike from Triund to Lahesh caves Via Snowline Café. Lahesh caves is famous among the Gaddi Shepherde for staying at night. They are naturally made caves. Overnight Camping and Dinner at Lahesh Caves.
On this day we began early morning, as it will be a big day. After an early Breakfast we Start our hike to Indrahar. This difficult trek will roughly take 4-5 hours to reach on the Indrahar top . It is long exhausting yet the most rewarding part of the trek. Depending on the time of year there may be ice, snow or rocky path on the last stretch to the pass. At the summit plunge yourself in the unbelievable view of Pir-Panjal and Manimahesh Kailash. As the day progresses the weather becomes unpredictable, so after a small halt at the pass, we begin descending to Chatta Paro. Overnight Camping and dinner at Chatta Paro.
Today we will pass few snow bridges and enter the Kuarsi valley. The walk can take 7-8hours to Kuarsi Village, which is the first village of Chamba Valley after crossing the pass. The village still maintains the traditional values of Gaddi. Overnight Camping/Homestay and dinner at Kuarsi Village.
This day after wholesome breakfast we will start our trek downward to reach Lambu. At Lambu, catch a local bus and drop you at the Chamba. Trek ends here!! You can either halt at Chamba or can proceed for your onward journey
